An Erasmus+ inter-institutional cooperation agreement covering student and academic staff mobility has been finalized between our College's Logistics Management Department and the University of Split in Croatia. The agreement aims to develop academic cooperation between the two universities in the field of "1041 – Transportation Services". Within the scope of the agreement, students are expected to receive education in a different academic environment, while faculty members are expected to participate in teaching mobility, sharing knowledge and experience. The agreement sets an annual student mobility quota of four students, each for a period of five months. Two academic staff members are expected to participate in teaching mobility. The implementation of these mobility activities will be planned in accordance with the relevant application, selection, grant, and acceptance processes.
The Maritime Management program, conducted within the Faculty of Maritime Studies at the University of Split, offers an education that combines maritime transport with business and management knowledge. The program covers topics such as logistics and distribution management, international logistics, inventory and warehousing management, and green logistics. The aim is to develop students' skills in evaluating transportation and logistics processes from economic, technological, and managerial perspectives. This academic structure provides a suitable ground for joint education and experience sharing with the Logistics Management Department of Giresun University. The Erasmus+ agreement is expected to contribute to students' exposure to different practices, particularly in the fields of maritime transport, logistics, and sustainable transportation, and to foster academic interaction among faculty members. This collaboration is expected to contribute to the international academic relations of the Logistics Management Department and create new educational and collaborative opportunities for students and faculty members.
